Darakeh Hill – Koohdasht

Darakeh Hill – Koohdasht

Overview

The above mentioned hill is one of the important hillocks from the pre-historic age. Situated 24 km. from the village of Abol vafa (Koohdasht). This hillock was made of sun baked bricks and clay. From the central section of this hill, earthenware, brass and admiralty metal vessels have been found. The earthenware is red in color and similar to the tri-pod vessels that Prof. Gerishman had discovered in the Geyan. These vessels resemble a woven basket.
