Jamal Abad Dam – Salmas

This dam was constructed over a somewhat wide river in Jamal Abad Valley of Salmas in the beginning of 'Saljuqi ' period. This dam stands at a height of more that 10 m., with a length of 80 m. and a width of 6 m. This dam is used for the storage of water during the winter and spring seasons in order to be utilized for the surrounding lands, thereby helping in flourishing the area.
