Sheikh Sarakhsi (Loqman Baba) Tomb – Sarakhs

This is the resting place of the great Gnostic of the 4 century AH, located 3 km. from Sarakhs. This structure contains a portico decorated with brick works and plaster moldings, in addition to a brick dome. A part of the main building can be relative to the Saljuqi era and the remaining section dates back to the 8th century AH. The internal section of the building has inscriptions (molded with plaster) dating to 757 AH. This structure demonstrates a unique plaster work.
