Tang-e-Dalav Forest Receation Sites – Ilam

Located in the Chenarbash region of Ilam, this historical graveyard belongs to the 1st millennium BC. Some graves have been discovered there, where the dead were buried in small and large earthenware jars with their belongings according to their traditions.

This palace, with engraved portal and columns, belonged to the Qajar period and is constructed among a beautiful and vast garden.

Located 18 kilometers from Ilam on the Ilam-Saleh Abad Road between Chamaw village and Marbereh region, this high waterfall is formed between rocks and flows down. Finally, it ends at the Godar Khosh River after a short distance.

This beautiful and charming forest park is one of the main recreational areas of the people. Its area is 4,000 ha. and there are different species of trees and rare birds like bittern.

This graveyard is located 30 kilometers southeast of Ilam on the outskirts of Shah Nakhjir Mountain one of the extensions of Kabir Kooh. Archaeological studies indicate that the discovered vestiges belong to 2500-2600 BC. and 4600-4500 BC.

This inscription is carved on a large stone in a place with the same name 34 kilometers far from Ilam. There is some information about the history and the governors of Ilam in this inscription.

Located 11 kilometers north of Ilam, this mountain is 2,473 meters high. the Abaftab and Abzanguan Rivers originate from it. It joins the Manasht Kooh in the west and the Chamangir Kooh in the southeast and is a part of the Kabir Mountain Range.

This promenade, as one of the most famous recreational areas of the province, is 5 kilometers from Ilam close to the Qalaqiran Mountain. Due to its being close to Ilam it annually receives many tourists specially in spring and autumn. Springs and beautiful gardens of Soltan Abad also surround it.

It originates from springs of surrounding highlands and finally flows to Iraq 61 kilometers from Ilam. The length of this river in Iran is 43 kilometers.

Konjan Cham River originates from the outskirts of surrounding heights and after joining with other streams enters to Mehran through a narrow valley and finally flows to Iraq. It is 90 kilometers long in Iran.

Enjoying a mild and dry weather, the village is located in a region with hills and high grounds and the Gangir River flows to its south. Mountains surround the village, an old mosque and a Sassanid fire-temple exist there.
