Khaneh Se Nik Ecolodge – Yazd
Yazd is a city of traditional and historic houses, and the Khaneh Se Nik Ecolodge is one of them. There is no precise information about when Khaneh Se Nik was built, but according to reports the house is about 200 years old and dates back to the Qajar era. If you want to know about its history, the Khaneh Se Nik ecolodge belonged to a Zoroastrian family. Professor Kasra Vafadari bought the house in 2001 and began its restoration in 2004; after his death, and since one of his goals was to provide a calm and lovely environment for domestic and foreign tourists, his family prepared the house for that purpose. The Khaneh Se Nik ecolodge in Yazd occupies 1,000 square meters and has 14 rooms in its outer and inner courtyards, plus a section called Narenjestan that is under renovation. The ecolodge has fully preserved its ancient Iranian architecture while modern equipment and facilities have been added. The basement has been turned into an art gallery, and guests can use free internet in their rooms. Among the notable features of this ecolodge, in addition to clean rooms and new décor, are the names of historical and Shahnameh characters given to the rooms, such as Esfandiar, Rudabeh, Anahita, Giv and Gordafarid, and more. Khaneh Se Nik is located next to the Zoroastrian fire temple and is close to attractions such as Amir Chakhmaq Bazaar, the Zoroastrian Manuscript Museum and the Markar Museum. It is a 9-minute drive to the Jameh Mosque and a 6-minute drive to Dowlatabad Garden.

The room was clean and well-organized when I checked in, and it had two colorful windows. The courtyard area was very peaceful, quiet, and pleasant. We also requested a hair dryer, iron, and toothbrush, and the staff were friendly.
It was a decent and comfortable place to rest, if you don't expect too much.
We thought the room was on the second floor, but it was actually on the rooftop and had stairs. If they had mentioned this, we wouldn't have booked it. Also, there were no hair dryers in the room and the steps were small and dangerous.
Overall, it was stylish and traditional. But there was a lot of noise in the rooms, which sometimes interfered with rest and relaxation. There were also broken car bumpers in the parking area, but unfortunately, the cameras weren't checked properly to determine who was responsible for the damage. I hope the management will follow up on this issue.
If I could stay again at Khaneh Se Nik Ecolodge, I would definitely choose it again. It is a beautiful and clean hotel.
Please note that some rooms have stairs; the stairs are very long, which is not suitable for the elderly or children.

It was a very good place, in terms of access and location, cleanliness and hygiene were very good, but it is possible that some guests are there that bother your comfort, be aware of this in peak season.
